As early as 1940, graduate chapters of Zeta Phi Beta began to realize the importance of the prestige, good will and cooperation of women who, for various reasons, were not members of any Greek-letter organization and did not possess a four-year college degree. Under the administration of National President Lullelia Harrison, the first Amicae auxiliary was organized in 1948, making Zeta the first sorority in the National Pan-Hellenic Council to organize an auxiliary group.
On October 5, 2019, the Zeta Amicae (Friends) of College Park/City of South Fulton, GA were chartered as the first Amicae Auxiliary of the Centennial Year for the Southeastern Region and the State of Georgia!
The Auxiliary was chartered by Melanie Byrd, Carlotta Davis, Garrika Holmes, Krystal Lundy, Colleen Phillips, Shankeria Sullivan and Charity Wilkerson.
The Auxiliary has been serving the College Park and City of South Fulton communities by participating in the Old National Merchants Association 5K, the AIDS Walk and the College Park Ward IV Community Festival.
